Arunachal Pradesh has been grappling with relentless rainfall, resulting in flash floods, landslides, river erosion, and significant damage to roads, bridges, and public infrastructure across several districts. The adverse weather has forced evacuations in vulnerable areas and severely disrupted normal life.
Districts including East Kameng, West Kameng, Lower Subansiri, Papum Pare, and the Itanagar Capital Region have been particularly affected. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings for heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in parts of the state, prompting authorities to issue travel advisories and mobilize rescue teams.
