Sonapur (Assam): In a show of strong regional solidarity, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu campaigned vigorously for the NDA candidate in Assam’s Nawboicha Assembly constituency on April 4.
Addressing a massive public rally at Sonapur Higher Secondary School Playground, CM Pema Khandu expressed full confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will return to power in Assam for a third consecutive term. He described the huge turnout at the rally as a clear indication of strong public support for the NDA.
Khandu shared the stage with Basanta Das, the NDA candidate from the Nawboicha (SC) seat, who is contesting on an Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) ticket. He stressed the importance of unity within the NDA and urged voters to support Basanta Das for the overall development and progress of the region.
Highlighting the deep bond between the two neighbouring states, Pema Khandu said, “The development and growth of Arunachal Pradesh is closely linked with the people of Assam.” He assured the gathering of his continued commitment to the welfare and dignity of the people of Assam.
The campaign visit is being seen as a significant boost for the NDA in the Nawboicha constituency ahead of the crucial Assam Assembly elections scheduled for April 9.
