Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K T Parnaik has firmly stated that individuals responsible for the recent disturbances at the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) will face strict legal action, while calling for the immediate restoration of normal academic activities on campus.

During a meeting with NERIST Director Prof. Narendranath S at Raj Bhavan, the Governor, who also serves as President of the NERIST Society, expressed serious concern over the recent incidents.
