Koloriang: Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Mama Natung visited Koloriang in Kurung Kumey district on April 15 to review the ongoing construction of the Women Police Station.
The minister inspected the site and took stock of the progress of the building work. He directed the executing agency and concerned officials to ensure quality construction and complete the project within the stipulated time frame.
Speaking on the occasion, Mama Natung emphasised that the establishment of a dedicated Women Police Station in Koloriang will play a crucial role in providing a safe and sensitive environment for women to report crimes and seek justice. He said it will strengthen women’s safety and security in the district.
The Home Minister instructed officials to ensure that the station is equipped with all necessary facilities, including proper infrastructure, trained women personnel, and essential amenities for complainants.
He also reviewed the overall law and order situation in the district and directed the police department to maintain strict vigil and take prompt action on women-related cases.
The construction of the Women Police Station is part of the state government’s broader initiative to enhance women’s safety and improve gender-sensitive policing across Arunachal Pradesh.
