Arunachal Minister Pledges Full Support to Strengthen Higher Education in Longding District

Longding: Arunachal Pradesh Education Minister Dasanglu Pul has assured full government support to strengthen higher education infrastructure and facilities in Longding district.

During a visit to Wangcha Rajkumar Government College in Longding on April 15, the minister reviewed the current status of the college and interacted with faculty members, students, and college authorities.

Dasanglu Pul acknowledged the challenges faced by the college due to its remote location and assured that the state government would take concrete steps to upgrade academic infrastructure, improve faculty strength, and enhance library and laboratory facilities.

He said the government is committed to ensuring quality higher education reaches even the remotest parts of the state. The minister directed college authorities to submit detailed proposals for infrastructure development, introduction of new courses, and skill-based programmes.

The Education Minister also emphasised the importance of vocational and job-oriented courses to make students employable. He encouraged the college to explore possibilities of tie-ups with technical institutions and industries for better career opportunities for local youth.

Local leaders and students welcomed the minister’s assurance and expressed hope that Longding would soon see significant improvement in higher education facilities.

This visit and assurance are being seen as a positive step towards bridging the education gap in eastern Arunachal Pradesh’s remote districts.
