Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lieutenant General (Retd) KT Parnaik has called upon photographers to play a vital role in highlighting the state’s rapid development, rich cultural heritage, and breathtaking natural landscapes.
The Governor made this appeal while addressing a group of professional photographers during an interaction session held in Itanagar. He encouraged them to capture and promote the positive transformations taking place across Arunachal Pradesh, especially in infrastructure, tourism, education, and rural development sectors.
Governor Parnaik emphasised that powerful and authentic photographs can significantly help change perceptions about the state and attract more tourists, investors, and attention from the rest of the country. He described photography as a powerful medium to document Arunachal’s journey of progress while preserving its unique traditions and ecological wealth.
He said, “Photographers have the ability to tell the real story of Arunachal Pradesh. Through your lens, you can showcase not just our mountains, rivers, and festivals, but also the development and aspirations of our people.”
The Governor also stressed the importance of responsible photography that respects local sentiments and contributes to the promotion of eco-tourism and cultural preservation. He assured full government support for initiatives that help showcase Arunachal’s true potential to the world.
This interaction is being seen as a positive step to engage creative professionals in the state’s development narrative and boost Arunachal’s visibility on national and international platforms.
