Agartala: Tripura Police have made elaborate and fool-proof security arrangements to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the 12th Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections.
Tripura Director General of Police Anurag said that comprehensive security measures have been put in place and forces have already been deployed across sensitive and vulnerable pockets in the tribal areas.
The DGP personally reviewed the ground situation and poll preparedness by visiting Gomati district on Friday. He held detailed coordination meetings with senior officers of Gomati and South Tripura districts, including Superintendents of Police and commandants of the Tripura State Rifles.
“Preparations for the 12th TTAADC election are fully complete. Security forces have been strategically deployed and all necessary strategies are in place to ensure a free, fair, and peaceful election from the pre-poll to post-poll phase,” DGP Anurag stated.
He added that continuous monitoring is being done at district as well as state headquarters levels. “We are keeping a close watch on the ground situation and will take additional steps whenever required,” he emphasised.
The TTAADC polls hold great significance for the tribal-dominated regions of Tripura. The police administration is leaving no stone unturned to prevent any untoward incidents and maintain complete law and order during the electoral process.
This strong security deployment reflects the state’s commitment to conducting transparent and violence-free elections in the autonomous district council areas.
