Upgraded School and Community Shed for Sarti Village

Sarti village, located near the Indo-China border in Walong, is set to benefit from improved educational facilities and a new community space. Arunachal Minister for Women and Child Development and local MLA Dasanglu Pul laid the foundation stones for these projects, which are part of the Sadbhavna Projects 2024-25.

The Government Residential School (GRS) in Sarti will undergo significant upgrades, and a new community shed will be constructed in the village. The event was attended by Brigadier Revetty Bhandari, Commander of the 82nd Mountain Brigade, Colonel Deepak Kataria, Deputy Commander, and local residents.

These initiatives are part of the Indian Army’s Operation Sadbhavna, which aims to promote development and welfare in remote border regions. Brigadier Bhandari reiterated the Army’s commitment to fostering education and community well-being in these areas. The Commanding Officer of the Indian Army played a crucial role in securing the approval and implementation of these projects.

Under Operation Sadbhavna, the Army has undertaken various welfare activities, including establishing goodwill schools, developing infrastructure, and organizing educational tours for children living near the borders with China and Myanmar.
