Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh: Arunachal Pradesh Governor, Brigadier (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.), recently visited Prayagraj to attend the Maha Kumbh Mela, a massive spiritual gathering that draws millions of devotees worldwide.
During the visit, the Governor took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. This significant event was part of the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, which has already attracted over 420 million attendees, making it a historic gathering.
Governor’s Participation Highlights Cultural Significance
The Governor’s participation in the holy dip highlights the cultural importance of the Kumbh Mela, which is a symbol of India’s rich spiritual heritage. The event was attended by other dignitaries, including Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
President Droupadi Murmu Also Attends
President Droupadi Murmu also graced the occasion, taking a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam and feeding migratory birds. The President’s participation in the event underscored the significance of the Kumbh Mela as a national festival.
The Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 is a 45-day event that started on January 10 and will conclude on February 23. The event has attracted millions of devotees from across the country and abroad, making it one of the largest human gatherings in the world.
