Arunachal CM Urges Preservation of Indigenous Cultures and Languages

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu emphasized the importance of preserving the state’s indigenous cultures, traditions, and languages. He expressed gratitude that Arunachal Pradesh has managed to retain its unique cultural heritage, unlike many other places that have lost theirs over time ¹.

Khandu commended the Arunachal Vikas Parishad (AVP) for its efforts in promoting tribal development, preserving cultural traditions, and providing quality education to underprivileged children. He highlighted AVP’s role in running 32 schools across the state and supporting over 500 students from Arunachal Pradesh in hostels outside the state ¹.

The Chief Minister urged AVP to continue its work and assured government support. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to preserving indigenous culture, tradition, and languages, citing the establishment of the Department of Indigenous Affairs ¹.

The newly constructed AVP building will serve as a multipurpose activity center, providing vocational training for youth and housing the state office.
