KOYU, Upper Ramle Banggo: Just 60 kms away from Pasighat, yet decades away from development — that is the painful reality of Upper Ramle Banggo.
For years, the people of this area have been living a life of hardship and isolation.

There is no proper road communication, no regular doctors, nurses, compounders, medicines, laboratories, or modern medical equipment. Ailing patients suffer the most.
Due to poor surface communication, many patients die on the way while being carried on traditional bamboo stretchers, unable to reach better hospitals at Pasighat and Dibrugarh.
The condition of education is equally deplorable. Schools lack subject teachers, practical science labs, and modern equipment. Students are helpless, and their future is at stake.
In this age of digital India, Upper Ramle Banggo has no mobile network. No WhatsApp, no Facebook, no Instagram, no internet. People are compelled to live with nature, cut off from the modern world. Life without connectivity in this modern era is like a blind man’s life — horrible even to imagine.
At least mobile service should be improved — this is the first and easiest demand of the people.
Koyu Higher Secondary School is a historic institution from which many high officials, bureaucrats, technocrats and doctors have emerged. But sadly, the road condition to Koyu remains the same as it was in the 1970s. In this modern scientific world, we are still living in primitive times, which is truly melancholic.
To awaken the government from its deep slumber, Mr. Abraham Eli Koyu, GPC of Koyu, led a foot march from Koyu to Nari ADC Office to create awareness about these genuine problems.

Though the department has taken cognizance, there is no roadmap, no timeline, no specific date, month or year for implementation. The people are unsatisfied with the lackadaisical attitude of the concerned authorities and the State Government.
Hence, the foot march team has now decided to resume a historic foot march from Koyu to Itanagar — a distance of around 350 kms. This foot march is a symbolic devotion and a desperate call for justice, so that the denizens of Upper Ramle Banggo do not remain backward anymore.
The demand is not for luxury, but for basic human dignity — roads, health, education, and mobile connectivity.
The Abotani TV fraternity wholeheartedly supports the democratic and peaceful foot march led by Mr. Abraham Eli Koyu for a noble cause.
To emphasize is that in this Digital India — NO Mobile network is extremely injustice meted to our innocent hardworking denizens.
Even the road to Koyu and other villages are still the same as were in 1970s, so *Painful and shameful.*
This is not politics. This is for our human existence and fundamental rights. For roads, for health, for education, for mobile connectivity, and for basic dignity.
We appeal to the elected representatives, the District Authority, and the State Government to do the needful to undertake immediate redressal of lacunae.
Please share and support Upper Ramle Banggo’s cause. We don’t want to remain backward anymore.
