A two-day Military-Civil Fusion Seminar concluded successfully on June 25 in Rayang, East Siang district, fostering collaboration between the armed forces, civil administration, and other stakeholders to strengthen national security and regional development. Organized by the Spearhead Gunners of Sigar Military Station and the East Siang District Administration, the event emphasized a unified approach to border management, infrastructure development, tourism promotion, and disaster relief coordination.
The seminar brought together representatives from the Indian Army, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Border Roads Organisation, National Hydroelectric Power Corporation, Rashtriya Raksha University, National Cadet Corps, state police, and local administration, including Upper Siang Deputy Commissioner Talo Jerang and East Siang SP Pankaj Lamba. Discussions focused on enhancing border security, improving infrastructure, promoting tourism, and strengthening humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) frameworks.
East Siang Deputy Commissioner Sonalika Jiwani highlighted the seminar’s role in creating a joint roadmap for disaster preparedness, community empowerment, and sustainable development. She praised the Indian Army’s efforts in youth skilling and community welfare programs, which have bolstered local resilience. The event underscored the importance of civil-military synergy in addressing the strategic and developmental needs of Arunachal Pradesh’s border regions.
This seminar follows a week-long Civil-Military Fusion Workshop in Pasighat, reflecting the state’s ongoing commitment to integrated efforts for security and progress.
