Yupia: Newly appointed Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Lobsang Tsering chaired a high-level review meeting with senior district officers to assess ongoing developmental works and set clear governance priorities for the district.
The meeting, held at the DC’s conference hall in Yupia on April 12, was attended by all heads of departments, Additional Deputy Commissioners, Sub-Divisional Officers, and other key administrative officials.
During the review, DC Lobsang Tsering emphasised the need for coordinated efforts, time-bound implementation of government schemes, and improved service delivery at the grassroots level. He asked officers to focus on key sectors including:
- Road connectivity and infrastructure development
- Drinking water supply and rural sanitation
- Education and health services
- Skill development and youth employment
- Strengthening of Panchayati Raj institutions
The DC directed officials to identify bottlenecks in scheme implementation and submit actionable reports within a week. He stressed the importance of regular field visits, proper monitoring, and direct interaction with beneficiaries to ensure schemes reach the intended people.
Lobsang Tsering also asked departments to maintain transparency and accountability in all government works, warning that any laxity or negligence would not be tolerated.
He assured full support from the district administration to all departments for smooth and effective governance. The meeting concluded with a resolve to work collectively for the overall development of Papum Pare district, which includes the state capital Itanagar and the rapidly growing urban centre of Naharlagun.
