Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has announced that the state government will organise Annual Job Fairs across three major towns to provide direct employment and career opportunities to the youth.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Department of Youth Affairs, aims to connect young job seekers with potential employers through walk-in interviews and interactive sessions. It will cover diverse sectors including manufacturing, information technology, graphic design, marketing, hospitality, and defence-related services.
The schedule for the job fairs is as follows:
- Bomdila – April 13, 2026
- Itanagar – April 15, 2026
- Roing – April 17, 2026
Sharing the announcement on social media, CM Pema Khandu stated: “The Department of Youth Affairs is proud to present the Annual Job Fair, connecting our youth with employment, skill development, and career pathways.” He expressed confidence that the platform would help the state’s youth discover new career possibilities and access employment opportunities across multiple fields.
The job fairs are designed as a one-stop platform where participants can explore job openings, interact directly with recruiters and companies, and take concrete steps towards building their careers. Officials expect strong participation from both local youth and various public and private sector organisations.
This annual initiative reflects the Arunachal Pradesh government’s continued focus on tackling unemployment, promoting skill development, and creating sustainable livelihood options for the younger generation, especially in remote and semi-urban areas.
Youth across the state have been encouraged to participate actively and come prepared with resumes and necessary documents for the walk-in interviews.
