Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Inaugurates Dud-Dul Tharpa Ling Lhakang at Jamiri, Reinforcing Spiritual Heritage and Cultural Harmony

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated the majestic Dud-Dul Tharpa Ling Lhakang at Jamiri in a grand ceremony attended by senior monks, dignitaries, and local residents. The event, held under the blessings of Trulku Namdrol Legrab, marks a significant milestone in preserving and promoting Buddhist spiritual traditions in the state.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Khandu described the newly consecrated monastery as a sacred space dedicated to prayer, reflection, and spiritual growth. He explained the profound meaning behind its name — Dud-Dul Tharpa Ling, which translates to “Place of Liberation that Subdues Negative Forces.” The name symbolises protection, clarity, and compassion, embodying the monastery’s role as a beacon of peace and enlightenment.

“May this Lhakang serve as a centre of devotion, wisdom, and compassion, guiding devotees on the path of peace and spiritual awakening for generations to come,” the Chief Minister said. He stressed the importance of such spiritual institutions in strengthening Arunachal Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage and fostering harmony within society.

The inauguration underscores the state government’s continued support for preserving indigenous and Buddhist traditions while promoting community welfare. The Dud-Dul Tharpa Ling Lhakang is expected to become a vital spiritual hub for locals and visitors, contributing to cultural tourism and inner peace in the region.

This development reflects Arunachal Pradesh’s commitment to balancing modern progress with the protection of its deep-rooted spiritual and cultural identity.
