Arunachal Pradesh Tourism Department Signs MoU with APCA India to Enhance Hospitality and Culinary Skills Among Youth

In a strategic move to empower the youth and strengthen the tourism sector, the Department of Tourism, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with APCA India (a unit of Skipping Stones Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.). This partnership is dedicated to skill development in hospitality and culinary arts, aiming to create a robust, industry-ready workforce.

The collaboration focuses on equipping local young people with specialized, professional training that aligns with the rising demands of the tourism and hospitality industry. Selected students, nominated by the Department of Tourism, will undergo targeted programs in Pastry, Bakery, and Hot Kitchen arts. These hands-on courses are designed to boost employability, elevate service quality in hospitality establishments, and foster sustainable career paths in tourism-related fields.

Tourism Minister P.D. Sona hailed the agreement as a landmark initiative, stating: “The MoU marks a significant step towards building a skilled workforce aligned with the growing needs of the tourism and hospitality industry.” He further emphasized that such collaborations will “open new avenues for young people in Arunachal Pradesh, enabling them to access quality training and sustainable career opportunities while contributing to the state’s tourism-driven economic growth.”

This MoU reflects Arunachal Pradesh’s ongoing commitment to human resource development and capacity building in tourism. By addressing skill gaps and promoting vocational training, the state seeks to harness its rich natural and cultural heritage to drive economic progress, create local livelihoods, and position itself as a premier destination in Northeast India.

The initiative is poised to play a pivotal role in enhancing tourism-linked opportunities, improving guest experiences, and supporting the broader vision of sustainable tourism growth in the region.
