Naharlagun, April 19, 2025: In a remarkable display of efficiency, the Papu Hills Police in Arunachal Pradesh successfully recovered a mobile phone reported missing from Pachin Colony, Naharlagun, tracing it all the way to Rajasthan. The phone was returned to its rightful owner, Shri Chandan Kumar, after a month-long investigation.
The case began on March 10, 2025, when Kumar reported the loss of his phone at the Papu Hills Police Station. Constable Pappu Halder led the operation, utilizing the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) to track the device. Through meticulous technical efforts, the police located the phone in Rajasthan and coordinated with the individual in possession of it to ensure its recovery.
