Sille-Oyan, Arunachal Pradesh – More than 750 residents of Sille-Oyan and surrounding areas in East Siang district recently availed themselves of essential government services during a Seva Aapke Dwar 2.0 camp organized by the district administration. The outreach initiative, held at an unspecified date prior to this report, aimed to bring administrative and welfare services directly to the doorstep of the community, reinforcing the state’s commitment to accessible governance.
The camp, hosted at Government Secondary School in Sille-Oyan, saw participation from 25 government departments and banking institutions, offering a wide range of services. Over 756 beneficiaries received assistance, including the issuance of 112 birth certificates, 45 death certificates, and 67 ST/PRC/ILP forms processed by the district administration. The Health Department conducted health checkups for 140 individuals and facilitated registrations for schemes like PMJAY and CMAAY, while the Food & Civil Supplies Department processed 38 applications for ration cards and the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
Local MLA Oken Tayeng, who attended the event alongside Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu and other officials, distributed solar lamps to 20 women weavers under a central government weaving support program. Tayeng praised the initiative for bridging the gap between rural communities and government services, urging residents to take full advantage of such opportunities to address their administrative needs.
The Seva Aapke Dwar 2.0 program, an upgraded version of the earlier Sarkar Aapke Dwar campaign, continues to gain traction across Arunachal Pradesh as a model for delivering efficient, on-the-spot services to remote areas. While the exact date of the Sille-Oyan camp was not disclosed, its success underscores the state’s ongoing efforts to enhance public welfare and connectivity.
