Imphal, February 24, 2025 – Okram Ibobi Singh, the former Chief Minister of Manipur and a prominent Congress leader, asserted today that only the Congress party is capable of delivering a strong and stable government to the state. Speaking at a press conference in Imphal, Singh criticized the current administration, arguing that it has failed to address the ongoing challenges facing Manipur, including issues of governance and communal harmony.
Singh, a veteran politician who served as Chief Minister for 15 years until 2017, emphasized the Congress party’s historical role in maintaining stability in the state. He accused the ruling government of mismanagement and neglecting the needs of the people, claiming that Congress has the experience and vision to restore effective leadership. “Manipur needs a firm hand to navigate its complexities, and only Congress can ensure that,” he stated.

Singh also called for unity among Manipuris, urging citizens to back Congress as a means to bring about positive change.
