Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic stampede at New Delhi Railway Station. The incident, which resulted in multiple casualties and injuries, has once again highlighted the inefficiencies of the railway system and the government’s lack of sensitivity, he said.
Taking to social media platform X, Rahul Gandhi extended his condolences to the grieving families and wished a speedy recovery for the injured. He criticized the lack of adequate arrangements at the station, especially considering the large number of devotees traveling to Prayagraj.
“This tragic incident is yet another example of the railway’s failure and the government’s insensitivity. Given the huge number of devotees traveling to Prayagraj, proper arrangements should have been made at the station. The government and administration must ensure that no one loses their life due to mismanagement and negligence,” he stated.
This incident has sparked concerns over the preparedness of railway authorities in handling large crowds and ensuring passenger safety. Authorities are yet to respond with concrete measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.
