CGHS New Guidelines: Easier Approval Process for Central Employees and Pensioners
Under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has completely revamped the online approval system for CPAP, BiPAP, and oxygen concentrators.
The goal of this change is to reduce paperwork, speed up approvals, and provide more convenience to beneficiaries. Under the new process, CGHS beneficiaries will now have to submit their applications digitally at wellness centers. These applications must include all necessary documents.
Beneficiaries will need to scan their entire application package and email it to the office of the Additional Director for their zone or city. Since high-speed scanners are not available at wellness centers, documents will be sent via post within a day or two. Additionally, the Additional Directors have been instructed to purchase high-speed scanners for all wellness centers to make the online process more convenient.
