In a significant event highlighting India’s military heritage, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu unveiled a decommissioned T-55 Russian-made tank at the World War II Cemetery in Jairampur, Changlang district.

Significance of the T-55 Tank

The T-55 tank, inducted into the Indian Army in 1965, played a pivotal role in India’s armored warfare history. Although now decommissioned, it stands as a testament to the bravery and dedication of Indian soldiers.
