Increase in Voter Numbers
Arunachal Pradesh has reported a 0.99% increase in registered voters compared to the final electoral rolls of 2024. The total electorate now numbers 891,518, comprising 437,609 men, 453,905 women, and four individuals identifying as third gender.
Inclusion of New Voters
Joint Chief Electoral Officer Liken Koyu stated that the primary goal of the recent revision was to add young individuals who turned 18 by January 1, 2025, and to eliminate duplicate entries, following Election Commission guidelines. The updated electoral rolls have been distributed to all political parties in the state.
