Arunachal Pradesh’s Kardo Nyigyor, the esteemed MLA representing the 28th Likabali Assembly constituency in Lower Siang District and currently serving as the Deputy Speaker of the state Legislative Assembly, conducted a thorough inspection of the ongoing Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) road project.
This significant project encompasses the Likabali ALG-BRO Road to Dipa village, spanning a distance of 8.25 kilometers and boasting a budget of 8 crore 83 lakhs.
During the inspection, MLA Nyigyor emphasized the paramount importance of ensuring quality work in the public interest and issued clear directives to the executing agency and contractor to adhere to this principle. The Rural Works Department (RWD) is responsible for overseeing the tendering process for this crucial project.
Recognizing the project’s critical importance for numerous villages situated in the foothills bordering Assam, MLA Nyigyor directed RWD officials and contractors to complete the project within the stipulated timeframe without compromising on quality.
Furthermore, he appealed to the residents of Assam, where a significant portion of the project is located, to extend their full cooperation and refrain from hindering its progress.
Clarifying that the completed road would not serve as a boundary between the two neighboring states, the MLA urged the people to support the successful completion of this vital PMGSY road, which aims to connect previously unconnected villages and improve connectivity within the region.
