Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma recently expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the labour force driving the state’s future. He specifically acknowledged the tireless efforts of Shramjeevis working on critical infrastructure projects, including the Noonmati-Dighalipukhuri flyover ¹.
Sarma took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a series of pictures showcasing the ongoing construction activities at the flyover site. He highlighted the relentless efforts of “Team Assam” in creating quality infrastructure for a “Viksit Assam” (Developed Assam). “Day or night, winter or summer, our team is working round the clock to ensure timely and top-notch development,” Sarma stated.
The Chief Minister also praised the Shramjeevis for their unwavering commitment to meeting project deadlines and contributing to Assam’s transformation. The Noonmati-Dighalipukhuri flyover is one of several ambitious projects driving Assam’s infrastructural revolution, aimed at boosting connectivity and easing urban traffic.
Notably, Sarma had previously conducted a midnight inspection of the flyover’s construction site, demonstrating his commitment to overseeing the project’s progress ¹. The state government has set a deadline of 2026 to complete the flyover, with plans to open one section by March 2025.
