Three Bangladeshi Nationals Apprehended at Agartala Railway Station

On Sunday afternoon, a joint operation involving the Government Railway Police (GRP), Border Security Force (BSF), and Railway Protection Force (RPF) led to the apprehension of three Bangladeshi nationals at Agartala Railway Station. These individuals were attempting to board a train bound for Kolkata.

A GRP official stated that confidential information prompted the operation, resulting in the arrest of the three Bangladeshi citizens. “During preliminary interrogation, they confessed to entering India illegally from Bangladesh. They had arrived at Agartala Railway Station with the intention of crossing the border via train. The Agartala GRP, Agartala RPF, BSF, and the Intelligence Division collaborated in this operation. Initial interrogation revealed their intended destination as Kolkata. Further investigations are currently underway at the Agartala GRP Police Station, and it is anticipated that more arrests may follow,” the GRP official stated.

A case has been registered at the Agartala GRP Police Station in connection with this incident, and the apprehended individuals will be presented before the court. They have been identified as Chutan Das (19) and Bishnu Chandra Das (20) from Noakhali District, and Mohammad Malek (30) from Habiganj, Bangladesh.
