Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu issued a stern warning against corruption on December 18. Speaking at the Passing-Out Parade ceremony of the 49th batch of Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) recruits, Khandu mentioned a rumor about contractual ANM and GNM nurses being asked to pay large sums for job regularization.
Khandu emphasized that the state cabinet has already decided to regularize the jobs of contractual nurses. He expressed surprise that despite this, some individuals are willing to pay for regularization.
The Chief Minister cautioned that strict action will be taken if the rumor is found to be true. He urged the new police recruits to stand against corruption and uphold the values of the Arunachal Pradesh Police.
Khandu congratulated the 885 constables who passed out from the training center, the largest contingent ever. He also announced that the state cabinet has approved the proposal to grant special grade to police constables, head constables, and assistant sub-inspectors.
The ceremony was attended by Home Minister Mama Natung, DGP Anand Mohan, and other dignitaries.
