A significant step towards advancing medical care in Arunachal Pradesh was taken with the successful conclusion of the Arunachal-United Kingdom Joint Workshop on Renal Transplantation at TRIHMS, Naharlagun. The workshop brought together renowned experts, Dr. Atul Bagul from UHL NHS, United Kingdom, and Prof. (Dr.) Arun Kapur from ABVIMS & Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi, to share their expertise with local medical professionals.
This workshop is particularly crucial for Arunachal Pradesh, which is in the early stages of its organ transplantation journey. The insights and knowledge imparted by the international experts will equip local doctors with the necessary skills to handle complex procedures like renal transplantation in the future.
Health Minister Biyuram Wahge expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasizing that the partnership, which includes a doctor exchange training program in the UK, will facilitate the establishment of advanced medical facilities in the state, including organ transplantation services.
