Civilian-Military Trek Concludes Successfully in Arunachal Pradesh

A four-day civilian-military trekking expedition in Zemithang, Arunachal Pradesh, concluded successfully, promoting border tourism and fostering unity. The 16-member team, comprising experienced mountaineers from the Indian Mountaineering Federation (IMF) and Indian Army personnel, embarked on a challenging 40-kilometer trek through the Eastern Himalayas.

The expedition took participants through diverse terrains, from dense forests to steep mountain slopes, reaching altitudes of up to 15,000 feet. Indian Army personnel provided essential support, ensuring the safety of the group and sharing their expertise in high-altitude survival.

Ritesh, a civilian participant, described the experience as unforgettable and expressed enthusiasm for future expeditions. He highlighted the inspiring nature of exploring Arunachal Pradesh alongside Indian Army personnel.

This initiative aimed to strengthen the bond between civilians and the military while showcasing the strategic and cultural significance of India’s border villages.
